The Independence Illusion
Today is the Pluto Return for the United States of America.
2.22.22.
That means since 4 July 1776, Pluto hasn’t returned to the position in the sky that it held during the founding of our country. I have found through my work with understanding how Natural Energies impact the human condition, that indeed, the shifting skies carry powerful forces that are shaping and impacting us. So what does Pluto returning mean? Pluto is the planet of transformation, death and rebirth cycles. As the trees and grasses of the forest cycle through the four seasons, so do our bodies, communities, companies, organizations and countries. The ebb and flow of the ocean is controlled by the moon so why do we think that we as humans, made mostly of water, wouldn’t also be impacted the shifting planetary bodies. I have found that in America, we have even been lured to believe in Independence above all. Freedom is the mantra of the the founders. And yes, freedom is the ultimate human right. But we also must pay homage to the forces that allow us to be free. We are in fact tethered to the entire universe. Just ponder the food you ate today, or the house you woke up so comfortably in. These things didn’t happen by your hand. Imagine the life cycle of events that must occur so that you can have a Starbucks triple whatever in your possession. Who designed the cup, manufactured it, grew the beans, transported the materials, hired the barista, made their apron, provided clean water to the location, sold the real estate, built the building, manned the power factory for the lights, laid the tile, built the table, etc…
Independence is free choice which God has granted us but we remain dependent on each other. We don't live in isolation on an island. Truthfully, most people would go mad in solitude. Ever watch the TV show Alone? Witness solitude induced madness first hand. We work in community to coexist abundantly. Being in community allows each of us to specialize, to find our specific gift. Today you don't have to be a generalist who hunts, and builds shelter, and fights intruders and grows crops and nurtures families. Independence is made possible through dependence.
This is true in business as well. The star employee cant shine unless the constellation of others allows them to be at their best. All so often a successful person leaves their current environment to flop without the same all-star team around them. In work, regardless of title, we need each other. Each gifted person uses the gifts of the other to step upon the stage in which they shine best. The days of the Wolf of Wall Street are dying. Today it's the Wolfpack of Wall Street that will reign. We must come together excellent in community. Both independently shining and honoring that which shines around us.
How are you shifting your family and your organization and your companies to align with the coming transformation of business in America. How are you evolving and being reborn to thrive post the Great Reordering of the Great Resignation to become the Great Organization of the future?
